Bicycle NSW Ride Leaders Training

Bicycle NSW and Orange BUG held a Ride Leaders Training day on 3rd September 2016 in Orange. Kathy Furney, Mick and Kerrie Cooper attended; it was a tough day for all involved due the freezing conditions and misty rain. Great results with 6 new Ride Leaders for Orange, Dubbo and Cowra, and two Master Ride Leaders in the Central West.

Master Ride Leaders are Ride Leaders with the ability to train up and assess other riders to become Ride Leaders without the need to attend specific training in other centres, hopefully this will make becoming a Ride Leader much easier.

Thank you Bicycle NSW, Orange BUG, the participants, ride volunteers and all the crew at Bissy’s who kept us warm and well fed. Lucky it was spring and not winter.

Dubbo BUG has two new Master Ride Leaders in Kathy and Mick and one new Ride Leader in Kerrie. Congratulations to Kathy, Mick and Kerrie.

Any BUG rider interested in becoming a Ride Leader contact Kathy or Mick as more Ride Leaders means more and varied rides.

Cold, sleet and fog made for challenging conditions.
